The Fitch Ratings Asset Backed Securities Group covers a variety of transactions involving securities that are collateralized by loans, leases, receivables or other assets. The Asset Backed Securities Group works closely with other Fitch groups - such as Financial Institutions, Corporate, Public Finance and other sectors to leverage each group's experience and insight into various markets.
Coverage
The Asset Backed Securities Group is divided into two areas: Asset Backed Commercial Paper, which rates collateralized commercial paper conduits and Term Asset Backed Securities, which rates consumer and commercial assets, as well as new asset classes. Together, these areas rate transactions backed by the following assets:
